A symposium will be co-hosted at the 100th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the Physiological Society of Japan.
The symposium “Neurophysiology in the big data era: uncovering ultra-complex emotion circuits connecting self and others” will be co-hosted at the 100th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the Physiological Society of Japan on March 15 (from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM).
Based on data-driven and computational approaches, the symposium will introduce ambitious interdisciplinary research aiming to “uncover the ultra-complex information processing mechanisms underlying social emotions,” which has been difficult to achieve with conventional technologies, by analyzing big data obtained from various new technologies such as the next-generation anatomical methods at the whole-brain level, large-scale measurement and manipulation of neural activity, and aims to be a spark for the growth of neurophysiology in the next 100 years.
Drs. Agetsuma, Noritake, and Kasai will give presentations about this research area.
